Repair (Re-Link) ‘Orphan’ Records
-Launch Metadata Utility
-From the Main Switchboard, click on ‘Enter/View Information Switchboard’ – ‘Metadata Utility Switchboard’ – ‘Metadata Utility’
Metadata Utility – Repair ‘Orphan’ Records
-open ‘Metadata Utility’
-Click on ‘Media’ Button (located at the bottom) 5 Times until Metadata Utility Title reads: ‘Metadata Utility: Orphan Records’
-Copy each:
Title Supp (Movie name)
Orphan Record ‘ID’
-‘Metadata Utility’s’ Search field:
Paste each of the copied ‘Title Supp’ (copied in the previous step) and hit the ‘Enter’ Key on the Keyboard to Search for the Record.
-Click ‘No’ to manually enter the record
(‘Metadata Utility’ will prompt that the movie Title is Not found and ask if you want to try to search/add the movie title using ‘Movie Online Search’ Tool – Click ‘No’ to add the Movie Title Manually – Important Step to recover ‘Orphan Records’)
-Double Click on Title (to unlock the record)
-Enter all possible Information on Yellow Fields:
‘Date’
‘ID’ (VERY Important – if you don’t enter the correct ID –copied on the first step–, then you will create an additional ‘Orphan’ Record)
‘Cast’
‘Director’
‘Genre’
‘Overview’
‘Tagline’
‘Community Rating’
-Search for the movie Title just entered again (to verify the information you just entered has been saved correctly) and hit enter key in your keyboard to search.
‘ID’ (VERY Important – if you don’t enter the correct ID –copied on the first step–, then you will create an additional ‘Orphan’ Record)
‘Cast’,
‘Director’,
‘Genre’,
‘Overview’,
‘Tagline’
‘Duration’,
‘Studio’,
‘Data Provider’,
‘MPAA Rating’,
‘Community Rating’,
‘Provider Rating’ you can enter the same rating as in ‘Community Rating’ or select your own –you become the ‘Provider’ in this case,
-Search for the movie Title just entered again (to verify the information you just entered has been saved correctly) and hit enter key in your keyboard to search.
-Link(s) will be restored
